There is a lot of noise about iPad - Apple’s new device. With its wide screen, and increased processing capabilities, the iPad opens the gate to new types of applications, and may become a very interesting playground for mobile apps developers. For that reason, we were very eager to see what it takes to have applications developed in ELIPS Studio 3 run on iPad.

Well, we have pretty good news for you:

First, ELIPS Studio3 application will run, out of the box, on the iPad!
See screenshots below, depicting an app developed in Flex/AS3 with ELIPS Studio3, and running on the iPad simulator.
By the way, this application is available on the iPhone app store, check it out here.

In addition to that, ELIPS Studio 3 will natively support the iPad, allowing to take advantage of its wide screen, increased power and custom native controls. Users will have the choice to develop:
- an “iPhone Application”, running the same way on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad,
- an “iPad Application”, running on the iPad only and designed for its wide screen, custom controls and increased power,
- or a so called “Universal Application”, which will run on each device adapting to it, taking the most advantages of each platform’s beauty.

With ELIPS Studio 3 variant management model, it is going to be straight-forward to target the 3 apple devices with the same code base, therefore without falling into the lowest-common denominator issue.

What about the native Ipad resolution.
I have read somewhere, you are planing to enable a "full"resolution converting.
We are interested in this cool feature :)

Thank you
