ELIPS Studio SDK
ELIPS Studio is a cross-platform mobile application SDK that comes as a plugin to Adobe's Flex/Flash Builder or eclipse. The plugin package includes our native code compiler that generates robust and performant native code and a form-factor smartphone simulator that allows to test your app behaviour with respect to different screen sizes, input methods as well as device or network events. ELIPS Studio also provides the capability to handle variants of your applications for different devices from the same code base. ELIPS Studio is available for Windows and Mac desktops.
Please visit our ELIPS Studio overview page for more details.

Supported Mobile Platforms
Applications created with ELIPS Studio are packaged in the native application format of the mobile device. They run natively thanks to an execution library specific to each mobile platform that is bundled within your app at build time.
Available platforms include: iPhone, iPad*, Android, Symbian Series 60** and Windows Mobile**. We have plans to expand the range of supported platforms to cover iPad, Windows Phone 7, MeeGo, Samsung Bada and more ... start now and expand later with minimal effort!
Please visit our ELIPS Studio supported mobile platforms page for further details.
The "Indie" version comes by default with one platform of your choice, and you can choose to purchase additional platforms as an option.
All other versions include all currently supported platforms and will be updated with additional ones when we support them in the future.
* In the first commercial release iPad support will be available free-fo-charge with no restrictions at alpha quality level.
** In the first commercial release Symbian Series 60 3rd and 5th Edition, Windows Mobile 6.x Professional will be available free-of-charge with no restriction at beta quality level.

Develop in Flex
ELIPS Studio allows you to develop your mobile applications in ActionScript3 and MXML. The product includes a mobile-optimized Flex Framework and a wide range of Flex extension libraries, including native mobile device features and UI components. These provide additional capabilities beyond those found in the 'standard' Flex, such as initiating voice calls, accessing the phone's address book, sending SMS or MMS, taking snapshots or videos with the camera, accessing the device calendar and contact data, and much more. You can also import your own or 3rd-party open source ActionScript libraries.
Please refer to our ELIPS Studio API reference for more details.

Develop in Native Languages
In addition to Flex development, all versions of ELIPS Studio offer the capability to create native extensions to our Framework and bind them to your Actionscript code (additional option for "Indie" users).
With this capability, you can code platform-specific features of your app in C, C++ or Objective-C.
This ELIPS Studio native extensions tutorial explores a hands-on example.

In-app Advertisement
ELIPS Studio comes with the capability to deliver advertisement banners within your applications as an extra revenue source for you. Our partnership with leading mobile ad networks and aggregators guarantees the best possible fill rate.
Ad banners are integrated in your app's user interface thanks to a simple to use Flex component. Apps created with the "Free" version include the ad banner by default in the UI layout. Users of commercial versions can remove the ad banner component from their apps' layout.
